Speaking on a program, actor Javed Sheikh revealed that Momal Sheikh's entry into Bollywood was not on his recommendation but was based on his work.

Javed Sheikh said that the Indian actress who was supposed to play the role of a Pakistani girl in the film Happy Bhaag Jayegi refused at the last moment. The producers of the film were very upset, since I was also a part of the film, so they asked me to name some Pakistani actresses.

Javed Sheikh told him the names of two to three. The actor said that the producer and director found a picture of Momal on the internet and liked his acting.

The director did not know that Momal was the daughter of Javed Sheikh, he must have had doubts. But when he found out, he asked Javed Sheikh, "Why didn't you tell us your daughter's name?"

Javed Sheikh replied that I never recommended my children, Shehzad Sheikh and Momal Sheikh are what they are today because of their success.
