Vatican City opens St. Peter's Basilica to visitors
Like Italy, Vatican City has allowed the resumption of religious services at the famous church.
Cleaning crews have been alerted after the church opened to visitors, who sprayed disinfectants on the shrine.
St. Peter's Church is spread over 23,000 square meters. It is the holy site of the Christian community, visited by millions of visitors and tourists from around the world each year.
St. Peter's and three other churches are under the Italian Ministry of the Interior. The government says the number of attendees at religious centers will be kept to a minimum because of Corona, and should not exceed 200.
