The United Arab Emirates confirmed 796 new cases and four deaths from the corona virus on Saturday, with another 603 patients recovering from the deadly epidemic.

According to the UAE Ministry of Health, the total number of CWD-19 cases in the country now stands at 22,627, with 214 deaths and 7,931 patients recovering.

Meanwhile, UAE government spokeswoman Dr Amna Al-Dhahak Al-Shamsi has urged the public to refrain from holding public gatherings and socializing on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

"Eid is an occasion for social celebrations and gatherings. We suggest to all families to avoid these habits this time," he said.
"Imagine a family member getting infected with the corona virus because he had inadvertently met another infected person. There were no symptoms," he said. If he spends the day with them without taking precautions, then other members of his family may also be infected with the coronavirus.
